Oxford Brass Festival
Witney Town Junior band came 1st in the ensemble section of this years ODBBA Brass Festival. We also achieved 2nd places in the U15 solo (Georgia-Louise) and U15 duet sections (Georgia-Louise and Ian). We gained a third place in the U11 duets (Anna-Beth and Eliann). Georgia-Louise also was awarded the trophy for the best girl under 15.

Internal Solo Contest
Congratulations to all participants in our annual solo contest. Three categories were held this year - beginner, elementary and intermediate. Trophies were kindly donated by Cogges Manor Farm Museum, the Rotary Club of Witney and Witney Town Council.
The recipients were, in category order, Oscar Pratley, Esther Jackson and Ian Skinner.

Training & Learner groups
From complete beginners, of any age,
to those who are just about ready for the junior band we can cater for anyone (instruments provided).
The training and learner groups are small groups of up to four people with an emphasis on ensemble playing. Rehearsals on Tuesdays at Curbridge Village Hall from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
